I've lost a precious metal item. What do I do?

Just contact me and tell me where you lost your item. The more detail you can give me the better. I'll need a description of what you've lost, when you lost it and exactly where you were when you lost it. If you lost it at a public place, such as the beach, the sooner you let me know the better the chance of recovery.

If you find my item, what will the fee be?

I have a standard recovery fee of $50.

If you don't find my item what will the fee be?

If you live in the Illawarra region, from Helensburgh to Kiama, a call out fee does not apply. If I don't find it you pay nothing!

Where do people generally lose their precious items?

The most common place is at the beach, followed by people's gardens, parks, playgrounds and sports fields.

Are there any areas that you can't detect?
Generally, the detectors will operate easily in most areas. Exceptions are thick scrub, overly tall grass and pounding surf.

What sort of metal detectors do you use?

My land machine is a  Tesoro Cibola.

For dry sand at the beach I use a Minelab Sovereign GT with the huge 15" coil for greater coverage.

For shallow water and wet sand recovery I use a Whites Surf PI Pro. This machine is completely waterproof and allows me to operate in water up to waist height.

What's in it for you?

My main objective is to reunite people with their lost items. I get a huge amount of satisfaction from helping people find their precious metals, particularly when they have sentimental value.
